Taja Riley is a the Owner of Like Gold Inc., Published Author of Walls of Joy, and a Mental Health Counselor located in Philadelphia PA. She is also a wife and mother of a beautiful son named Benjamin.

Why did you chose your profession?

I wanted to help people.

Stepping out on faith and starting my business Like Gold Inc..

Who is your #girlbosscrush? The woman that most inspires you and why?

Any women who is working towards their goals and dreams would be my #girlbosscrush.

What are your top three favorite books and why?

My book Walls of Joy because I believe in the importance of being your biggest fan.

How do you spend your free time?

Spending time with my family, reading and baking.

What quote/saying/mantra do you live by?

Life is too short to not do the things you want to do.

What do you do to stay beautiful on the outside?

Stay hydrated, exercise 2-3x per week and take vitamins.

What do you do to stay beautiful on the inside (self-care)?

Prayer and Meditation

What do you do when you need a confidence boost?

Watch motivational videos my favorite speaker is Eric Thomas.

What is the best and worst decision you ever made?

Best decision was starting my business , worst decision not starting it sooner

What was your dream job as a kid and why?

To be an elementary school teacher because I know I wanted to work with children and help them.

What do you think is the most significant barrier to female leadership?

That we often let fear dictate our decisions instead of going out there and killing things.

What advice would you give your younger self?

To not worry about what people think of you.

What advice would you give the next generation of women?

To start young with working towards your goals.
